Food Difficulties?
Food related difficulties are common amongst our students. We have seen food related difficulties ranging from food selectivity to appropriate eating and behavior during meal times. We have increased the food repetoire of many of our students. Currently, we are seeing some difficulty with getting specific students to eat anything at school. We will be implimenting a plan to help the student get used to eating at school.
What are some difficulties you are experiencing relating to food and eating? Do you want to add new foods to your child's food repetiore? What foods would you like to add?
Challenging Behaviors?
How to handle behavior challenges is the first step in all parent training programs. Some behavior challenges we typically address are non-compliance, motor stereotypy, and vocal stereotypy. What are some other behavior challenges that could and/or should be address in parent training?
Behavior challenges are common amongst students on the Autism Spectrum. You should not feel discouraged or embarrassed to talk about the behaviors you are seeing. It is likely that some other families are seeing the same behaviors.

A parent recently approached us about special needs friendly dentists. Finding good doctors and dentists for children with Autism is extremely important and difficult. Below is a denistal practice that has been successful with students with Autism.

Please feel free to comment and let us know about any questions, concerns, or topics that you want to hear about. Some topics of interest could be behavior issues, goals, accomplishments and/or success stories, social interactions, finding special needs friendly doctors, etc.
